For some people, the idea of ‘work’ and ‘pleasure’ are totally opposed.

This perception can lead many business owners to primarily focus on monetary reward to ensure hard work and loyalty from their employees. Whilst, this undoubtably motivates some in the short term, it is the business owners who also inspire and emotionally connect with their employees that truly take full advantage of the opportunities in their market place in the long term.

As a business leader, what impact would it make to your business if more of your team could learn to think, act and communicate in a way that builds long-term positive relationships?

Imagine if your leadership style and vision led outlook could not only inspire those around you, but also enable them to enthuse and inspire others.

Donald Trump hit the nail on the head when he once said:

If you’re interested in ‘balancing’ work and pleasure, stop trying…. Instead make your work more pleasurable”.

Being inspired, being enthused, being recognised, being listened to – these are the things that make ‘work’ pleasurable.

And, what happens when someone loves their job?

They excel at it!

They are more productive and creative; they find solutions to problems instead of bemoaning them; and they treat colleagues, clients, suppliers and customers with greater respect and understanding.

It’s a position that any business owner should really aspire to, for it’s what makes the journey through all The Levels* of growth far easier to navigate.
